The Flight Safety Foundation (FSF) and the Aviation Safety Alliance (ASA) will merge Dec. 31. The new organization takes the FSF name. ASA was founded in 1998 as a resource for journalists reporting on aviation-related issues. FSF is an independent, non-profit, international organization engaged in research, education and advocacy to improve aviation safety.
