Tardi takes top spot at US Flight Academy

jim-tardi-cfiiThe US Flight Academy in Denton, Texas, has hired Jim Tardi as vice president, director of training.

Tardi, who holds ATP, multi and commercial single engine ratings, is also a CFII and MEI instructor. Most recently, he was director of training at the Air Safety Flight Academy in Glendale, Ariz. Prior to that, he worked with Pan Am International Flight Academy, now called Trans Pac Academy in Phoenix. While with Pan Am, he oversaw flight training for approximately 1,000 Chinese students.

Tardi, 54, will oversee 30 CFIs. The academy expects to have about 100 Chinese students in its professional pilot training program by the end of the year. It also has 30 students from other countries and about 30 domestic students.
