IMC Clubs appointed a five-member Board of Directors this week, including Radek Wyrzykowski, MCFI, as president; Peter Conant, director of chapter coordination; Dora Rizos, director of membership; Jon Roberts, director of communications; and Ken Dustin, CFI, vice president.
Born in Poland in 1960, Wyrzykowski came to the U.S. in 1983 as a political refugee. He obtained his Professional Pilot degree from Mohawk Valley, under the SUNY Albany program and has more than 4,500 hours dual given. He was the Chief Flight Instructor for Horizon Aviation, Inc., from 2007 to 2009 and the Chief Flight Instructor for Northampton Aeronautics from 2005 to 2007. He is a Master Certified Flight Instructor Instrument and multi-engine instructor.
Conant is a 2,300 hour commercial pilot with instrument and multi-engine ratings. He has owned four airplanes (two Pipers, two Bonanzas) and holds a graduate degree in architecture from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Rizos is a small business and web development consultant and designer for local enterprises in the Boston area; while Roberts has been in the entertainment business, as a pianist/vocalist for 35 years. He took his first flight lesson in the mid- 1970s, but could not continue due to financial concerns and travels in the music business. Now he is back into aviation.
After a 20 year career in technology, Dustin made a radical change. Completing his Instrument, Commercial and CFI he went to work for the flight school that trained him in Bedford, Mass., later taking a position as a flight school manager. His intention now is to devote more time to training with a goal of becoming a CFII.
