Dave Richardson (aka DR), line service manager for the Million Air Toronto FBO and Toronto Airways Limited at Toronto Buttonville Municipal Airport (CYKZ), passed away suddenly Jan. 17.
Richardson, who grew up in the northern Ontario mining community of Sudbury, studied helicopter maintenance at North Bay College and later applied for a line service position at the Toronto Buttonville Municipal Airport. Some 25 years later, he was still there, having progressed to the role of line service manager. His passion for aviation and great people skills made him a well known and respected fixture at the airport, according to FBO officials.
