Ship it AOG become tug distributor

By Janice Wood · April 21, 2010 ·

Ship it AOG, an aircraft parts distributor, has been named the factory-authorized South-Central USA distributor of LEKTRO electric towbarless aircraft tugs.

LEKTRO’s battery-powered towbarless tugs are used and approved or endorsed by nearly every aircraft manufacturer in the world. LEKTRO tugs range in capacity from single-engine trainers up through the B737 and A320. LEKTRO products are built to meet the specifications of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) and U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), as well as the European Union CE Wheelmark, according to company officials.

Under the agreement, Ship it AOG assumes responsibility for sales of LEKTRO tugs and parts in the states of Arizona, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. Prior to the distribution agreement, Ship it AOG acted as a LEKTRO dealer.
