Alaska’s Kenai Peninsula Airport is the hub of community, according to a recent story at PeninsulaClarion.com, which notes that residents use the airport as a hopping spot to Anchorage and, from there, the Outside. Corporate heads from Fred Meyer, Tesoro and Marathon land there to visit their local ventures. Former basketball stars like Karl Malone see the airport as a gateway to Kenai River salmon fishing or the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge’s big game hunting.
