#OSH11: Flying cars invade iconic drive-in

By Janice Wood · July 26, 2011 ·

A handful of flying cars invaded Ardy & Ed’s Drive-In, an Oshkosh institution since 1948, on the day before AirVenture kicked off. A story by EAA’s Mary Jones reports: “Under police escort, three Maverick flying cars and one Aerocar motored from EAA’s Kermit Weeks Hangar on 20th Street to Ardy & Ed’s on South Main Street. Two other Aerocars had been trucked to the site and reassembled.” Read her full story here.
