Bahamas Fly-In slated

By Janice Wood · December 1, 2011 ·

PilotMall.com, Inc. will host a December Fly-In to South Bimini, Bahamas.

The 2011 Bahamas Pilot Challenge, launched at the beginning of this year, challenged pilots to fly to 12 of the 20 airports of entry throughout 2011. Each pilot who has completed the challenge has been entered in a drawing to win an eight-night stay in the Bahamas, along with other prizes. PilotMall.com will be launching a 2012 Bahamas Pilot Challenge and officials said they hope to see even more pilots rise to the challenge.

“As the first Bahamas Pilot Challenge comes to a close, we are excited to announce the winners of the spectacular prizes,” said PilotMall.com President Neil Glazer. “What better way to complete this year’s challenge than an adventure-filled fly-in to Bimini?”

PilotMall.com staff will be available to assist with eAPIS registration and flight planning for those unfamiliar with the procedures.

The hotel of choice for this fly-in, set for Dec. 9-11, will be the Bimini Sands Resort and Marina, which can be reached at 242-347-3500 to reserve a room from $162.50 per night. Plans are underway for a snorkeling trip to the wreck of Sapona, a pub crawl to North Bimini, as well as the announcement of the first winner of the 2011 Bahamas Pilot Challenge.

PilotMall.com is an aviation retailer offering over 4,000 aviation products.
