NationAir Aviation Insurance debuts iPhone/iPad app

By Janice Wood · December 15, 2011 ·

NationAir Aviation Insurance has unveiled a mobile application for iPads and iPhones.

From specialty aircraft and owner-flown aircraft to large ground operations and corporate flight departments, NationAir insures more than $40 billion in all types of aviation assets. Its clients fly everything from single-seat, single-engine planes to luxury business jets.

“Our clients are telling us that mobile apps are becoming the preferred method of accessing information for aviation professionals,” said Jeffrey Bauer, NationAir president.

The free application can be downloaded from Apple’s iTunes App Store

NationAir’s app includes a corporate directory with one-touch contact capabilities for NationAir’s top management, brokers, account executives and risk management partners. It also features a claims checklist and the ability to begin the claims process from an iPhone or iPad in the event of an accident or incident.

“During an emergency situation, every second counts. This mobile app will help our clients eliminate a few barriers to communicating with their risk management team,” Bauer said.
