Bruce’s Custom Covers has partnered with AirCam, a Lockwood Aviation company, on the manufacture and distribution of custom-fitted aircraft covers.
Bruce’s will manufacture a custom-designed covering system and AirCam will provide sales and distribution of protective covering products for AirCam aircraft.
Under the agreement Bruce’s is responsible for design and fabrication, while AirCam will handle sales orders and distribution. A custom covering system is available to protect any part of the airplane, officials noted.
AirCam aircraft are often found in remote flying areas such as private ranches, remote islands, and anywhere scenic vistas and roaming wildlife may be present. A protective cover lends itself well to these remote flying locations, and can be used to protect fabric, metal and composite aircraft, company officials said.
Enhancements to a previous AirCam cover design were made by Bruce’s to better suit both AirCam aircraft and operator. The canopy cover now extends over the aft baggage compartment, keeping it sealed and dry. With these improvements, the price of the cover will remain the same. A canopy/nose cover sells for $824.95. Additional options can be found here.
Company representatives will be exhibiting the AirCam at U.S. Aviation Expo in Sebring, Fla., from Jan. 17–20.
