Lightspeed names first $500 Burger Deluxe Getaway winner

By General Aviation News Staff · January 29, 2015 ·

Lightspeed Aviation reports that M. Wade Davis of Dayton, Ohio, is the first weekly winner in the $500 Burger Deluxe Getaway.

A former Airfield Maintenance Supervisor at Dayton International Airport, he is an active pilot with a commercial certificate, an instrument rating, and 3,200 total hours logged. His 1967 Mooney M20-C Ranger has taken him and his wife Elizabeth — also a pilot with more than 1,000 hours — on excursions across Mexico, the Bahamas, and Europe. He and his wife have also rented planes to travel throughout Hawaii and Tasmania. Before the Mooney, Wade owned a Grumman AA1A Trainer that Elizabeth used to earn her PPL.

“With their mutual passion for flying and obvious thirst for adventure, Wade and his wife Elizabeth truly reflect both the spirit of the Burger Deluxe Getaway and the Markham flight bag we’ve added to the package,” said Teresa De Mers, Executive Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Customer Support for Lightspeed.

Any eligible participant that registers a new Lightspeed Zulu PFX, Zulu.2 or Sierra ANR headset at LightspeedAviation.com during the promotion will be automatically entered into a weekly drawing for a $500 getaway package that includes gift cards for avgas, rental car, dining, and lodging, plus a Markham leather flight bag from the new Lightspeed Adventure Flight Bag Collection. New headsets purchased at any authorized Lightspeed dealer can be registered to generate an entry.

There will be six more weekly drawings during the promotion, which runs through Feb. 26, 2015. Any U.S. resident 18 years of age or older is eligible to enter.
