Runway 04/22 at Louisiana’s Monroe Regional Airport (MLU), the primary runway and the only one equipped with an ILS approach, will be closed for construction on Sept. 1 at 1 p.m. and remain closed for approximately 30 days.
Pilots should monitor NOTAMs for the return to service date and time.
Runway 14/32 (4,999 feet) is equipped with RNAV and VOR/DME approaches to Runway 32 only. Runway 18/36 (5,000 feet) is a VFR-only runway.
There will be a reduction in the capability to provide practice approaches, and some back taxiing may also be required.
