Pictures of the day: The next generation, Part 2

By General Aviation News Staff · September 7, 2016 ·

On Sept. 6, we posted photos from Penny Rafferty Hamilton, the AOPA Airport Support Network Volunteer at Granby/Grand County Airport (KGNB) in Granby, Colo., from the recent “Touch An Airplane Meet a Pilot Day” at the airport.

Today we received more photos from the event, sent in by Ashley Bobo, director of Grand Kids Child Care. She added a note to Hamilton and the other members of the Grand County Historical Association Emily Warner Field Aviation Museum and EAA Chapter 1267, who hosted the preschoolers: “We just wanted to thank you and all the wonderful volunteers for such an amazing experience Friday! My son, Ridge, was one of the children that went and I have to tell you, he couldn’t stop talking about the visit to the airport. He particularly loved getting to sit in the plane and “fly” it. All the children, teachers and parents appreciate everyone’s time and effort to coordinate such a wonderful event for the children!”
