David West sent in this photo, explaining: “I flew my aircraft with a colleague from SpaceX to a dry lake bed in Southern California. We collected wind data in support of parachute testing for the Dragon 2 program. We decided to camp there overnight, and I had some fun with glowsticks and long-exposure photography.”

OK, I have to ask — what is going on in this photo? What were the glowsticks dropped from, and more importantly, how did you manage not to hit your nice airplane with them?
