After five years of silence, IMC Radio is returning to the internet “airwaves” with its live call-in aviation talk show “Plane Talk.”
The first 30-minute episode will take place on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at 7 p.m. EDT.
According to the “Plane Talk” producers, it is the only live and unedited talk show exclusively dedicated to the general aviation community of pilots.
“Plane Talk” is hosted by Jon King Roberts, a pilot, musician and entertainer, and Radek Wyrzykowski, creator of the IMC Club, former senior program manager with the Experimental Aircraft Association, and a CFI.
During the program, the hosts present their opinions and commentary about current general aviation issues and news events with a dose of humor, according to producers. They also explore all aspects of flying, aviation training, proficiency, and safety. They also have plans to have remote guests from different fields of aviation, including expert and celebrity flight instructors.
You will be able to call in during the live show at 866-424-0172, but you can also text in your questions or comments ahead of the show to the same number.
“We will discuss with you all current general aviation-related issues on the air live and have a lot of fun doing it,” Roberts said. “We hope that you have a good sense of humor if you decide to call.”
“We provide a direct forum for pilots and non-pilots to express their concerns and ask questions,” added Wyrzykowski. “We are not going to shy away from difficult and controversial topics. We are not scripted, pre-recorded, or edited. We are not sponsored by any organization, and we fully intend to ask hard questions about sometimes very unpopular and omitted from aviation media politics that plague our GA communities. We will be asking those questions regardless of who is going to be our guest.”
The show will be available live on the website PlaneTalk.org. Right after the live broadcast, the show will be available as a podcast on iTunes, iHeart Radio, and the website.
