Video: Flying to a pilot’s paradise

By General Aviation News Staff · March 6, 2023 ·

Smitty Smith, the force behind FunPlacesToFly.com, has posted a new video featuring Cedar Mills Marina and Resort on Lake Texoma in Gordonville, Texas.

The two-minute video shows Smitty flying his Cessna 172 to the resort next to Cedar Mills Airport (3T0), which he says is a “wonderful playground for any pilot.”

Lake Texoma is known as the “Playground of the South,” offering great activities such as hunting, fishing, boating, vacationing, shopping, eating, hiking, biking, and horse riding.

As far as fishing goes, the lake is known as the Striper Capital of the World, according to Smitty. It also has nice variety of other fish, such as crappie, smallmouth and largemouth bass, and catfish, he adds.
