First flight: Tecnam hybrid P2010
According to Tecnam officials, the P2010 H3PS is the first general aviation aircraft with a parallel hybrid configuration to take flight. The four-seat aircraft is powered by a 104kW Rotax 915 IS engine coupled with a 30kW Rolls-Royce electric motor, equating to a 180-hp powertrain.
Avionics sales top $2.3 billion in 2021
Avionics sales were up 6.5% in 2021, with sales steadily climbing for six straight quarters after bottoming out in 2020 with the pandemic.
Berlin Express and Doc partner on new tour
The EAA’s B-25 Berlin Express and the B-29 Doc will join together for several “History Restored Tour” stops in Florida and Louisiana beginning March 31 to kick off the 2022 tour seasons for both historic aircraft.

Able Flight Class of 2022 revealed
In a first for the organization, which awards scholarships to people with physical disabilities, all six in the Class of 2022 use wheelchairs due to the results of accidents, illness, or a combat injury.
