Neptune Aviation can now offer Garmin products to private aircraft owners, businesses, charter jets, and government agencies. It can also install and service Garmin products on any type of aircraft, including helicopters and experimental aircraft, according to company officials.
Pilot inadvertently flies through Special Use Airspace on way home from air show
I was using Foreflight for flight planning and airspace avoidance purposes. I was not aware that on the airspace menu the tab for SUA had been set to the “off” position. I was following a direct path between ZZZ1 and ZZZ, which resulted in flying directly through the restricted area completely unaware of its existence.

PlaneEnglish expands with access to FAA safety content
The first batch of content now available from the FAA is the agency’s “From the Flight Deck” video series, which provides pilots with actual runway approach and airport taxiway footage captured with aircraft-mounted cameras, combined with diagrams and visual graphics to identify hot spots and other safety-sensitive items, according to PlaneEnglish officials.
Sheltair expands Tampa hangar
The $26 million project took approximately 18 months to build four hangars with attached office space and covered parking, according to company officials. The new complex adds 77,000 square feet of hangar space and 32,000 square feet of office space to the FBO.
Distracted pilot fails to extend landing gear
The pilot’s failure to extend the landing gear prior to landing, which resulted in substantial damage to the lower fuselage. Contributing to the accident was the pilot’s failure to utilize the aircraft checklist.
