California Aeronautical University expands to Arizona

Through CAU’s Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics and the Associate of Science in Aviation Studies program, students can earn numerous certificates and ratings, along with their college degree, university officials said.

In 2014, Vlad Prostakov traveled from Russia to SUN ‘n FUN, where he enjoyed his first ride in a seaplane, a 1969 LA-4 Lake Amphib. In June 2021, Vlad, now a CFI, will work on his seaplane rating, coming full circle from his first seaplane ride to certification.

Free recurrent training courses for drone pilots online

Drone pilots who have Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification can now take their required training courses for free online at the FAA Safety Team website. The training ensures that pilots have the knowledge necessary to operate in accordance with the Operations Over People rule when it becomes effective on April 21, 2021.

National effort needed to encourage students to pursue aviation careers
