Deliveries of new turbine business airplanes shot up more than 31% in this year’s first half, compared to last year’s, according to a report from the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA).
Exactly 100 more business jets and turboprops were delivered in the first six months of 2005 than during the same time period last year. The breakdown was 87 more jets and 13 more turboprops.
GAMA president and CEO Pete Bunce gave a lot of the credit to what he called “industry innovation,” to a continued healthy economy, and to the advantages of accelerated tax depreciation.
