Lindsey McFarren, a former staffer for the National Air Transportation Association and Transportation Security Administration, has launched McFarren Aviation Consulting (MAC), which will focus solely on the GA industry.
McFarren has hands-on experience in the GA industry as a flight instructor, then by owning a small flight school before working with a large fractional management provider. She joined NATA in 2005 where she specialized in Part 135 on-demand air charter regulations and policies.
McFarren was the first director of the Air Charter Safety Foundation before being tapped by the TSA to be assistant general manager of general aviation programs. She then joined a large aviation consulting firm, performing safety and security assessments for GA operators, FBOs, and airports, but left the firm to focus exclusively on GA issues.
