Patriots Jet Team slated for balloon festival

By Janice Wood · May 23, 2010 ·

Color the Skies Balloon Festival, Northern California and the Central Valley’s only balloon festival, will feature something different this year: The Patriots Jet Team, a civilian-owned aerobatic jet team, has agreed to perform fly-overs on both Saturday and Sunday of the festival and four Children’s Hospital supporters are invited to join the flight.

The Patriots Jet Team announced that one seat on each of the four L39 jets will be available for Sky High supporters of the balloon festival. The fully-tax-deductible price per seat is $5,000. Go to PatriotsJetTeam.com for more information or call to reserve your seat at 209-480-5244.

The fourth annual Color the Skies Hot Air Balloon Festival will be held Labor Day weekend, Sept. 4-5 in Ripon, Calif. All proceeds of the festival go to Children’s Hospital Central California. Festival activities include a pancake breakfast, a kite flying demonstration, a 1-mile and 5k race, children’s fun run, skydiving exhibitions, tri-tip lunch, and more. Entry to the festival is free and there is a $5 donation for parking at the park.
