Wings of Eagles finds temporary home

By Janice Wood · January 18, 2011 ·

The Wings of Eagles Discovery Center will introduce the public to its new facility in Horseheads, New York, Feb. 1, but it’s a step the museum will have to repeat in about a year, according to a report at StarGazette.com, which notes the museum moved out of its former home in Big Flats about two weeks ago after Sikorsky Aircraft signed a 12-year lease to occupy and renovate the building. Chemung County has been pursuing a new home for the museum in the same area, and has zeroed in on a potential site, but the facility needs a temporary home until all that can be settled.
