For the second time in three months the Jacksonville Aviation Authority has changed the name of Craig Municipal Airport. According to a report The Florida Times-Union, the airport’s name was changed in November to Jacksonville Executive Airport, but an uproar from citizens about removing the name Craig led the authority to change the name to Jacksonville Executive at Craig Airport.

I agree with Charles. What a waste of money along with all the confusion.
Has anyone considered the COST of changing the name of an airport? If it’s a major air carrier airport with lots of instrument approaches & departures and shown on lots of enroute charts as well, all of the text pubs, signs all over, commercial publications, on & on all to get a politician’s name on it or to make somebody feel good about their accomplishment??
