Museum slated Father’s Day Open Cockpit Event

A special Father’s Day Open Cockpit event begins at noon, Sunday, June 21, at Oakland Aviation Museum in California.

SolentFlyingBoat“Open Cockpit is when the museum’s visitors can sit in famous aircraft, including A-3 Skywarrior, A-4 Skyhawk, A-7 Corsair, Harrier, and Mig-15,” said Ian Wright, operations director. “They can also walk through the Short Solent Mk 111, a huge flying boat filmed in the movie Raiders of the Lost Ark with actor Harrison Ford.”

Children’s activities include face painting, magic and balloons by Coralline’s Playtime. Santa Clara Masonic Lodge will offer child I.D. services.
