VERO BEACH, Fla. — The Discovery Channel’s “How It’s Made” documentary television series featuring Piper Aircraft airs tonight, Dec. 17, at 9 p.m. EST on Discovery’s Science Channel.
Filming of “How It’s Made” began at Piper Aircraft’s factory the end of January of this year. Over the course of three days, a film crew collected footage of various stages of production of the Piper M500.
The documentary series is broadcast in 180 countries, offering a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the fabrication of various products, from everyday objects to industrial items and manufacturing marvels.
“How It’s Made” will depict the manufacturing process of an original Piper M500 turbine as it is handcrafted from initial fuselage construction to final paint scheme application.
