DAYTON, Ohio — The National Aviation Hall of Fame (NAHF) has named Amy Spowart executive director. As executive director, Spowart will manage the daily operations of the Congressionally-chartered 501(c)(3) non-profit, which honors those who have excelled in American aerospace.
Spowart, who has been a part of the NAHF since 1999, also will aid in the expansion of the organization as it launches into its next phase to ensure that the mission and message is recognized nationwide, officials noted.
Currently, fulfillment of the mission is accomplished in two parts: During the annual enshrinement ceremony viewed nationwide as the “Oscar Night of Aviation;” and through the NAHF’s Learning Center, which is designed to tell the stories of the enshrinees.
