Jim Hefner sent in these photos, taken March 9, 2017, during a “fun flight to Monument Valley with lunch at Gouldings Lodge (UT25). After lunch I flew to Mexican Hat, then west over the Goosenecks and Lake Powell to Page, where I stayed overnight,” he said.
The more I look at those photos the more I felt the urge to jump out of the plane and enjoy the scene as I freefall.
Absolutely great photos, Jim. Looks as though anyone not flying now would be inspired by them to begin or resume doing so.
Thanks Eric. It is surreal flying in that area. I feel very lucky to live in Tucson, within 2 hrs of such beautiful scenery! More photos here, including day 2 flying over Marble Canyon and the Grand Canyon Zuni Corridor…. https://goo.gl/photos/LcyYEr4h1zMHmC1T9
