Video: Training for heritage flights

By General Aviation News Staff · March 11, 2021 ·

Do you often marvel at the Heritage Flights at airshows? Ever wonder how they all come together in the flights that have historic aircraft flying in formation with current Air Force jets?

In two new videos posted to YouTube, General Aviation News Of Wings & Things columnist Frederick A. Johnsen uses video from the Air Force to show the training it takes for civilian warbirds and current Air Force jets to fly together.

“Hang out with Air Force photographers and videographers up a tower and on the ramp as the action unfolds,” he says.
