Critique AI has launched Check-Ride.ai, an AI platform that simulates the oral portion of an FAA checkride.
Pilots configure a mission profile — certificate level, aircraft, home airport, weather, and examiner persona — then speak with an AI Designated Pilot Examiner who challenges explanations, tracks progress against the FAA Airman Certification Standards (ACS), and delivers a scored debrief with study pointers, company officials explained.
Unlike subscription-only prep apps, Check-Ride.ai uses session credits that never expire. The first practice session is free with no credit card required.
Flight schools can also run a team mode with pooled credits, student invites, and privacy-safe aggregate analytics, company officials added.
