Tail Cards has launched custom trading cards designed to represent any of the roughly 318,000 aircraft currently listed on the FAA registry.
According to company officials, pilots and owners enter an aircraft tail number online to automatically populate card specifications using public FAA records. The automated fields include make, model, year of manufacture, engine configuration, passenger capacity, and a rarity rating based on the total number of that specific type currently registered. Customers can personalize each card by uploading a photo, naming a home base, and adding a custom caption before reviewing a digital proof.
Each finished card includes a numbered holographic authentication seal, company officials noted.

In addition to civilian general aviation designs, a military edition allows current and former service members to list their callsign, rank, assigned unit, and total flight hours across 43 military airframes.
“Every pilot has an airplane they love,” said Taylor Richter, founder of Tail Cards. “We wanted a way to hold it in your hand.”

Preorders are open now, with shipments scheduled to begin in late 2026.
