16 Texas pilots become Master Pilots

Jerry “Widget” Morris sent in this photo with a note: “This is a photo I took departing my home base, St Simons Island Airport (KSSI) in Georgia. I heard a friend of mine taking off in his 1964 Beech H18 and called him to see if I could join up. I found him about 15 miles west of KSSI motoring along at 1,500 feet. Pure nostalgia.”

New situational awareness systems installed at KIND and KAUS

The uAvionix systems employ the company’s Automatic Dependent Surveillance – Broadcast (ADS-B) service called FlightLine, which provides controllers with “real-time, precise depictions of aircraft and vehicles on the airport surface, thereby improving situational awareness and reducing the risk of runway incursions,” according to company officials.
