Improvements for the new 172 PMA airboxes include the addition of structural adhesive reinforcements in areas of high stress, a hardened control arm with a thicker cross-section, and added nut plates to the front of the airbox to accommodate a Brackett air filter, if installed.

The extension is necessary as the Senate has yet to take up FAA reauthorization.
Fort Worth FBO collects Toys for Tots
So far this year, the FBO has collected 111 bikes and several hundred toys for the annual effort, company officials report. Donations will be accepted through Dec. 15, 2023.

Commemorative Air Force soars to new heights with Pinto jet
The jet has been assigned to a newly established Super Pinto Sponsor Group, which will be based at the CAF hangar in Memphis. Group members noted the aircraft will divide its time between Memphis, Pensacola, and Dallas. The group also hopes to be able to start offering living history flights in the Pinto in 2024.
Aerox acquires Fluid Power
Fluid Power, which will continue to operate as an independent company, has been re-branded as “Aerox Fluid Power.”
Signature opens new FBO terminal at KDSM
The new FBO at Des Moines International Airport (KDSM) in Iowa features a 5,000-square-foot guest terminal and a 30,000-square-foot hangar.
