Testing is underway at DeltaHawk Engines as two new higher horsepower versions of its FAA certified DHK180 engine are introduced: The 200 horsepower DHK200 and 235 horsepower DHK235.
Hartzell extends backcountry prop discounts to RAF supporters
Hartzell Propeller is extending a $1,000 discount to supporters of the Recreational Aviation Foundation (RAF) on all new Hartzell backcountry aircraft propellers through 2024.
Applications open for Cascade Warbirds scholarships
Applications will be accepted until Feb. 29, 2024, for scholarships from Cascade Warbirds, for private pilot ground school with introductory flights for young people between the ages of 16 and 21.

Touch and goes banned at KTOA
In a Jan. 23, 2024, meeting, the Torrance City Council voted 5-1 (with one abstention) to ban touch and goes and restrict back taxis and low approaches at Zamperini Field (KTOA) in Torrance, California.

Sporty’s declares February IFR Month
In addition to special savings on pilot gear, Sporty’s will offer interactive webinars, articles, instrument flying videos, and answers to common IFR questions. The goal is to encourage pilots to earn their instrument rating, get current, and enjoy more utility from their pilot certificates, according to Sporty’s officials.
