The course meets the requirements of FAR 61.56 for ground instruction required for the flight review, and features video and multimedia segments, quizzes, and a completion certificate, according to company officials.

Initiative to eliminate lead from aviation fuel by 2030 takes off
The Eliminate Aviation Gasoline Lead Emissions (EAGLE) initiative calls for an industry and government partnership “to expand and accelerate the actions and policies necessary for a viable high-octane unleaded replacement for the current 100 octane low-lead aviation gasoline (100LL), without compromising the existing U.S. transportation infrastructure system, aviation safety and the economic and broader public benefits of general aviation.”
General aviation aircraft sales rebound
“The strength and tenacity of the general aviation industry has provided a strong foundation for the industry to rebound from pandemic-related setbacks with a powerful showing in 2021,” said Pete Bunce, GAMA President and CEO. “Total aircraft shipments are converging on figures that were seen before the outset of the pandemic.”
New scholarship honors the legacy of Jacquie Warda
Ladies Love Taildraggers have created a new tailwheel endorsement scholarship to honor airshow pilot and mentor Jacquie Warda, who passed away in January 2022. Applications are due April 15, 2022, for the $2,000 scholarship.

Plans to close KHTO delayed
“We are encouraged by the town’s willingness to delay and to remain engaged with aviation stakeholders on shaping the future of KHTO,” said Alex Gertsen, NBAA’s director for airports and ground infrastructure. “That said, NBAA remains very concerned about the flawed plan to close KHTO and reopen a new airport.”
