New amphibious and straight floats are now available for American Legend Aircraft Co.’s Super Legend. The new floats, manufactured by PK Floats, can be fitted to high performance Titan-powered Legend Cubs, according to company officials.

Beech 200 hydroplanes while landing on a wet runway

The airplane hydroplaning while landing on a wet runway, which degraded its braking capability and resulted in a runway overrun onto grass and mud and the nose landing gear collapsing. Contributing to the accident was the pilot’s improper decision to land the airplane until it was near the runway midpoint due to fog over the approach end of the runway.

Officials at Redbird Flight Simulations have launched the second annual State of Flight Training survey. Pilots are asked to take the short survey, which will “identify and analyze trends, priorities, strengths, and challenges” the industry faces.

New aircraft leasing company specializes in flight schools

Fuel problems lead to forced landing in a field

Returning from a camping trip, while descending over mountains east of ZZZ near ZZZ1 the fuel low level light came on in my homebuilt. I checked the fuel and the sight gauge on the right tank showed half full indicating at least 6.5 gallons of fuel. The left tank sight gauge showed empty.
