A lifelong lover of all things aviation and aerospace, Eric Crump, who started the aerospace program at Polk State College, will take over as executive director of SUN ‘n FUN’s Aerospace Center for Excellence in June 2022.
The ELEVATE Aerospace and Logistics Business Incubator, which will be on the SUN ‘n FUN campus at Lakeland Linder International Airport, is expected to open in June 2022.

The teen members of the Lakeland Aero Club spent the week of the 2021 SUN ‘n FUN Aerospace Expo building a Recruit Cub, a PA-18R Cub kit from Patriot Aircraft. The teens will fly the Cub to the 2021 EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh.
