Warbird Roundup in Nampa, Idaho, hosted aircraft ranging from the F-35 to P-51 Mustangs, a rare pair of Taylorcraft L-2s, and more.

The Warbird Roundup, hosted by the Warhawk Air Museum of Nampa, Idaho, kicked off with an F-35 demonstration flight, which “ups the ante for the long-running” show. The show’s first day also featured World War II fighter ace Bud Anderson in a specially-marked Beech Super King Air that looked a lot like the P-51 Mustang he flew in the war.
Midwest LSA Expo prepares for takeoff
The free event features Light-Sport Aircraft (LSA), including Part 103, STOL (Short Take off and Land), and gyroplanes on one flightline. Unlike some of the bigger shows, demo flying is a lot easier at this show, organizers note.
Monster Splash Fly-In at America’s Seaplane City
The splash-in, set for Oct. 16, will include contests for pilots, including a pumpkin bomb drop. The city is also holding its Rocktoberfest the same day, which will feature live music, children’s activities, and more.

“We should pass a law to require every U.S. senator to spend two days at Oshkosh,” said Senator James Inhofe (R-Oklahoma) in an interview during his 42nd visit to EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2021, the world’s largest fly-in convention and air show.
