Any possible drag reduction is now more important than ever. The more aerodynamically sleek the airframe, the more speed the race plane will carry around the track.
Team Goulian’s new 2015 race airplane incorporates shorter gear legs with state-of-the-art wheel pants, and a wing with slightly different dimensions than the previous season’s aircraft. This episode shows how the team educates current and future customers. Flying is the most visible part of the weekend, but there is serious business on the ground as well, according to producer Jeff Lee.
Each Tuesday for the next three weeks, a new episode will take fans through the weekend with the team.
“In the next episode, we’ll go up in the air with Michael and dive into what makes his performance special,” Lee said.
