‘Close Calls – Lessons to Live By’

By Janice Wood · July 7, 2009 ·

In an upcoming pilot safety series on DVD, “Close Calls – Lessons To Live By,” aviation masters Bob Hoover and Wayne Handley reveal the wisdom gained from their combined 50,000 hours of flying experience, often in extreme conditions. Each of them shares how they survived in-flight emergencies by applying simple safety principles.

closecalls-dvd-coverUsing actual crash footage and great storytelling, they reveal the lessons they learned from these near-death experiences – lessons that can be used by all pilots, regardless of their skill level or the planes they fly.

“We don’t need to make all the mistakes in aviation ourselves… learning from other people’s experiences has saved my life on numerous occasions,” says Handley.

“If we can save just one person’s troublesome condition we will have accomplished what we set out to achieve,” Hoover added.

The DVD is on sale now for $24.95 at www.CloseCallsFlying.com. Orders placed by July 20 receive free shipping. The DVD ships Aug. 10.
