By Janice Wood · April 15, 2010 ·

The Flight Guide eBook displays airport diagrams, airspace graphics, pertinent airport and supplementary information on portable Sony and Kindle DX Readers.

Airports are organized by identifier, airport name or city. Once your airport is displayed, you can easily flip through its pages accessing detailed airport diagrams (with taxiways identified), airspace graphics (class B, C and D), flight operational information, navigation and communication frequencies, FBO information (attendance, services, phone numbers and locations), fuel prices (noting full or self service and cash discounts), on and off-field facilities (food, transportation and lodging noting free pickups and discounts) and recreational information. Convenient bookmarks can be set to access commonly visited airports within seconds. A zoom tool can be used for a closer detailed look if desired.

The Flight Guide eBook can be used alongside IFR PilotPlates as an add-on feature. IFR PilotPlates include IAPs, DPs, STARs, Airport Diagrams, Take-Off, Radar and Alternate Minimums. New chart releases are available every 28 days. IFR PilotPlates provides more than 21,000 charts that can be downloaded by region (west, central or east) or the entire USA.
