First Landings Aviation, a sport pilot flight school founded by two young entrepreneurs in May 2009 at Apopka Airport (X04) in Orlando, has taken delivery of a 2010 PiperSport LTD. The addition of the PiperSport allows the school to offer both low-wing training in the PiperSport and high-wing training in a Remos G3 600. Both the Remos and PiperSport are equipped with full glass cockpit displays, autopilot, and parachute recovery systems.
“We chose to add the PiperSport to our fleet because of the unique appeal of the airplane. Not only is the airplane a great performer, but it is equipped with top-of-the-line safety features and was built with training in mind,” says Chris Esposito, chief pilot and co-owner of First Landings Aviation. “A lot of students and pilots are more comfortable in a metal airplane, and they appreciate the Piper name because they know it is synonymous with quality and performance.”
