New Android apps for test prep on the go

By Janice Wood · May 23, 2011 ·

ASA has expanded its suite of mobile aviation applications with the release of 11 Android Prepware apps.

The new Android Prepware apps include study material for the FAA Knowledge Exams, and test tools to help you prepare on the go, according to company officials. Apps are available for Sport Pilot, Private Pilot, Instrument Rating, Commercial Pilot, Certified Flight Instructor, Airline Transport Pilot, Flight Engineer, Military Competency, AMT General, AMT Airframe, and AMT Powerplant. Questions, answers and explanations in the apps allow you to study by subject or with true-to-form practice tests. Each app features an intuitive, user-friendly interface with test question figures accessible by a tap of the screen. The apps are also great for Flight Review prep, or as a refresher for pilots and aviation technicians alike, ASA officials said.

Apps are compatible with mobile computing devices running the Android operating system and are available in the Google Apps Marketplace. All the new apps are $9.99 except the AMT General, AMT Airframe, AMT Powerplant, Sport Pilot, Military Competency, and Flight Engineer, which are $4.99.

These are the latest addition in a suite of aviation apps from ASA for Apple and Android mobile digital devices. For more information: www.asa2fly.com/apps.
