Frequent contributor Rafael Cortes sent in these photos, noting: “The US Air Force Thunderbirds arrived on Monday (Oct. 3, 2016) to Puerto Rico for an airshow that will take place this weekend. This are the first pictures of them in our island.
“It has been five long years since the last time we had the Thunderbirds in our skies. I can’t wait until Saturday and Sunday to watch them perform all of their maneuvers in the Puerto Rico International Airshow 2016.”
GA News Staff need to be a little more careful in their headline word usage. The “Angels” as in presumably “Blue Angels” applies to the Navy Flight Demo Team not the USAF Thunderbirds. If wanting to use shortened title words then I would suggest the title should have read “…..Anxiously Awaiting The Birds”
Who are the “Angels?”
These are the USAF Thunderbirds, the Angels are the Blue Angels from the USN.
I know that.
My question was inspired by the title of the article. If someone is “Anxiously awaiting the Angels,” for this event, they’re going to have a long wait.
