Air shows are back! Fred Johnsen, the force behind the Airailimages YouTube channel and General Aviation News‘ Of Wings & Things columnist, was at the Moses Lake Air Show at Grant County Airport in Washington, where he captured video of a troupe of warbirds, military aircraft, and aerobatics performers June 17-19, 2021.
“Vicky Benzing’s elegant aerobatics in a bright red Stearman biplane, the C-17 demonstration team from McChord Field, the A-10 demonstration team, an EA-18G Growler from Whidbey Island Naval Air Station, the Army’s Black Daggers Special Ops Command parachute team, the four-ship ethanol-powered Vanguard Squadron, Mini Jet Airshows, Kyle Fowler’s yellow Long EZ, Extreme Aerosports and the two-plane Orca Flight shared the sky in a unique venue parallel to a blocked-off runway,” Fred notes. “Attendees could choose to purchase a square of concrete on which to park their car or truck for the ultimate ease and comfort of watching the show. Watch for scenes in which the aircraft can be seen over a field of many parked Boeing 737 Max jet airliners awaiting a return to service. And at one point, a 737 can be seen in the company of a T-2 chase plane on a quick non-airshow fly-by on the other runway.”
Look for Fred’s story on the air show, along with lots of great photos, in an upcoming post.
Great video, thanks
