Celebrating 80 Years at 7B3

By General Aviation News Staff · April 12, 2026 · 1 Comment

Hampton Airfield (7B3) in North Hampton, New Hampshire, will celebrate its 80th anniversary May 16, 2026, with a fly-in and community family event.

The celebration, which begins at 10 a.m., will include aviation awards, such as prizes awarded for Prettiest Airplane, Ugliest Airplane, and Oldest Airplane.

There will be a special History of Hampton Airfield tent, hosted by Mike and Cheryl Hart.

Information on current airport operations, including flight training, also will be available.

The event will feature a bounce house for children, static aircraft displays, and more.

Pilots flying in will receive a 50 cent a gallon discount on fuel, organizers noted. The first 10 planes to fly in will also receive a free meal at the food tent.

Hampton Airfield features turf and asphalt runways, a flight school, and the Airfield Cafe.

Rain date is slated for Sunday, May 17.

Really great airport and Mike and Cheryl are responsible for most of that. They have been the umm… Heart…. and soul of Hampton for more decades than I can count…
