FTEJerez Installs ALSIM AL42 Flight Simulator at Oxford

By General Aviation News Staff · October 30, 2026 · Leave a Comment

FTEJerez has installed an ALSIM AL42 flight simulator at its London Oxford Airport (EGTK) training base to support students completing Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) and Instrument Rating (IR) courses.

The simulator replicates the twin-engine Diamond DA42-VI, utilizing genuine aircraft parts, Garmin G1000 NXi avionics, a GFC 700 autopilot, force-feedback controls, and a latest-generation visual system, according to ALSIM officials. Configured to comply with UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) FNPT II standards, the training device supports Private Pilot Licence (PPL), CPL, and multi-engine instrument rating curricula.

The unit features an enclosed instructor cabin, an integrated two-seat observer station, and expanded visibility of both the cockpit and the projection screen.

“The installation of the AL42 simulator at our London Oxford Airport base is another important step in the continued development of our UK training operations,” said Oscar Sordo, CEO of FTEJerez. “By enhancing our facilities in the UK, we are even better equipped and have more flexibility when it comes to supporting our UK airline partners and self-sponsored cadets training towards a UK CAA licence, providing them with high-quality training and greater access to the resources they need throughout their training journey.”
