Spartech is expanding its polycast acrylic manufacturing capacity across multiple facilities to support rising aerospace demand.
Polycast cell cast acrylic materials are used in aircraft windows, canopies, windscreens, and transparencies across military, commercial, general aviation, and electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, according to company officials.
To support the manufacturing ramp-up, the company is adding nearly 150 positions and expanding workforce cross-training programs. Company officials noted that Spartech is currently experiencing operational growth across more than 90% of its manufacturing locations.
“Investments in our team, more dependable workflows, and greater capacity across multiple facilities directly reflect our transformation this year,” said Andy Filson, Chief Executive Officer of Spartech. “We are confident in positioning Spartech’s technology and customized product value to strategic tailwind markets, for better service to existing and new customers.”
