Jet Mentis Partners has opened enrollment for the Jet Mentis Charter Foundation, a self-paced professional education program designed for individuals entering aircraft charter brokerage without prior aviation experience.
In the United States, neither the FAA nor the Department of Transportation requires licensing, certification, or formal training for charter brokers, despite federal disclosure and refund rules governed by 14 CFR Part 295. Consequently, most brokers learn operational compliance on the job, according to company officials.
“Every flight has to pass two questions: Is it safe? Is it legal?” said Adam R. Juckett, founder and president of Jet Mentis Partners. “Just because a trip is safe doesn’t make it legal, and just because it’s legal doesn’t make it safe. New brokers usually learn that the hard way, on a real client’s trip. The foundation is built so they learn it first.”
The 14-module curriculum covers aviation fundamentals, operational distinctions between Part 91 and Part 135 flights, broker responsibilities, quote development, operator relations, and client management. The program includes module examinations, a practical capstone project, weekly live sessions, and reference materials.
While the coursework is strictly professional education rather than a formal certification, company officials noted it helps prepare students seeking to pursue the independent Jet Mentis Certified Broker credential.
