During EAA AirVenture 2022, Ken Jordan was busy as chairman of the North 40 camping. But he took a few moments off to receive the Phillips 66 Aviation Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Young Eagles Leadership Award winner, which recognizes exceptional Young Eagles volunteers.

It’s a sailplane glider that John Domenjoz designed in the 1930s that’s on display at the Owls Head Transportation Museum in Maine. He claims to have flown it at least 10 times. The boat-type sail would keep him aloft and provide the necessary drive for takeoff.”

A private jet once owned by Elvis Presley was recently auctioned off for $500,000. That’s after the 1962 Lockheed JetStar L-1329 — which doesn’t have an engine or avionics — sat on a tarmac in New Mexico for 30 years. In this video from Forbes magazine, you can see inside the jet, which features red velvet seats and red shag carpet.
